We’re sure that some of you may have read Goosebumps stories in your childhood. I’m one of those nerds who did but I wasn’t a real fanatic. However, the release of the Goosebumps Virtual Reality Experience app got me excited to try. Well, not just because it’s a familiar classic but because it’s a virtual reality app. Any VR app or games released on the Play Store, we’re all eyes to check what kind of VR experience we’d have.
The Goosebumps VR app takes you into a wild ride with R.L. Stine. Developed by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE), this VR adventure will have you navigating the car through the windy streets. Escape the giant praying mantis that looks like it’s really near, ready to eat you. Use the VR app on a Google Cardboard or Merge VR Goggles. If you don’t have any virtual headset yet, you can still enjoy the 360° video mode on your mobile phone.
If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll experience the frightening scenes there in this virtual reality challenge. Hollywood actor Jack Black plays R.L. Stine so he’ll be a permanent fixture in the game. You see, Stine’s imagination is turned into reality but he needs to lock the monsters in his manuscript. Unfortunately, they were unleashed so he’s tasked to get them all back.
