There will never be an end to Google updating its native mail app. Gmail has been one of the top favorites of not just Android fans but also those using other mobile platforms because you can easily organize mails, search the inbox, and the tons of space that come with it. Only a couple of months after the last update of viewing all inboxes in one place, the app has just received another set of few improvements which include support for non-Gmail addresses (IMAP) being more reliable than ever.
With the recent update, adding other email accounts is easier. Feel free to check your Outlook.com, Yahoo Mail, and other email accounts right from the Gmail app for Android. No need to use another email app just to check your other mails on your phone or tablet.
Contact info and recent conversations with a contact can also be viewed by simply tapping on a person’s avatar. The tablet layout has also been improved so switching between email accounts and inbox categories is smoother and faster. There are also additional improvements if you’re on the sweet Android Lollipop including being able to hide some sensitive lockscreen notifications.
The Gmail app is very useful, efficient, and intuitive. You can be notified of new messages via push notifications. Gmail also allows you to set up label notifications, view and save attachments, as well as, manage multiple accounts.
