The phrases “only in Japan” and “Japan never change” has often been used in news items about the crazy ideas that the Japanese have, in terms of fashion, food, and even technology. Well, we’re about to use both statements again as you can now have your very own One Piece battery charger. But the weird thing about this is that it is a life-size statue and that you have to plug it in questionable parts, aside from the fact that it is pretty expensive.
If you’re a fan of the manga and anime series One Piece, then you would of course know Sanji. But this is him like you’ve never seen him before. Okay, you may have seen it before since it is based on a scene from the series when Sanji thanks his mentor Zeff. But this time, you get to see cords and ports so you can charge stuff on this overgrown charger.
There is a single port at the back of Sanji’s head, and even more weird, there is a plug from his butt cheek that will charge the humongous battery charger. It really is weird looking, but I guess it will mean something if you’re a One Piece fan. And since the creator Oda Eiichiro has declared that 2016 is the Year of Sanji and so Yahoo Japan had a brilliant idea to make this a giveaway.
Apparently, this costs more than an actual car and would probably cost a fortune if it were available for sale. No word yet if it will actually be a consumer product or just a huge and expensive and weird giveaway.
