Are you tired of all the dark, violent, heavy TV shows that you’ve been watching lately on HBO, AMC, and even network TV? So maybe it’s time for a little laughter and levity in your video watching life. Comedy Central is giving you a chance to sample 12 of their exclusive shows by offering their first episodes for free on Google Play (US only). This will let you determine if you’d watch the rest of the shows’ other episodes and other seasons, which are on sale as well.
Comedy Central has been on basic cable for more than 20 years now and has brought us comedic gems, from animated shows (Dr. Katz, South Park), talk shows/news programs (Politically Incorrect, The Daily Show), re-runs (Whose Line Is It Anyway, Saturday Night Live), and of course original programs. Now they’ve chosen 12 of their shows, both old and new ones still on-air and you can watch their first episode for free from Google Play.
Some of the shows included are critically acclaimed sketch comedy Key & Peele, Drunk History where celebrities get to talk about historical events while sloshed, Chappele’s Show with controversial stand-up comedian Dave Chappelle which ran until 2006, and cult favorite Reno 911. The other shows are a mix of popular and lesser-known ones like Adam Devine’s House Party (you know, the guy from Pitch Perfect), Tosh.0, Strangers With Candy, Workaholics (again, that guy from Pitch Perfect), Kroll Show, Nathan For You, Big Time in Hollywood, and This Is Not Happening.
The free episodes are up on the Comedy Central sale page on Google Play. If you get hooked on the shows, then entire season are on sale too.
