If you’re in the market for a pretty good-looking watch that has premium written all over it but is also smart enough to be connected to the rest of your life, Garmin has been producing those kinds of wearables for some time now. But the fēnix Chronos is probably one of their finest-looking and more high-end devices to date. It’s not only decorative, but it also features the latest in tracking technology so you can bring it to the office and do some extreme sports with it over the weekend.

While the fēnix Chronos does not run on the Android Wear platform, it can be connected to your smartphone through Bluetooth and can bring you notifications like text messages, email, and even incoming calls. It also has its own mobile app, Garmin Connect, where you can download apps, widgets, watch faces, and data fields, as well as customize your device’s content the way you want it. It has a high-strength, scratch-resistant sapphire lens with a 1.2-inch Chroma Display with LED backlighting.

But really, the appeal of this wearable is all the features that make it an ideal companion for hiking, diving, and other extreme activities you may want to have a helpful gadget on you. It has a 3-axis compass, altimeter, barometer, GPS, EXO antenna, and GLONASS. The battery will last you up to 13 hours if you use GPS-based navigation but 25 hours if you enable the UltraTrac mode, which uses GPS intermittently. It is waterproof up to 100m or 330 feet and has a red button that turns your device into a stopwatch if you long press.

The fēnix Chronos has three variants. The steel with leather bands is the most “affordable” at $899.99 while the steel with stainless steel band is priced at $999.99. If you’re really going for premium though, it’s the titanium with titanium band that should be for you at $1,499.99.
