You’d think that Garmin would sit back and rest on its laurels after announcing three new smartwatches last week. But apparently not, as they have just announced a new generation of its fitness band called VivoSmart HR which has the usual things that a wearable can give you plus a pretty long battery life. They’re also releasing an Index Smart Scale that can track more than just your weight and can deliver results directly to your Android devices over WiFi.

It may be a fitness wearable, but the VivoSmart HR can actually do a lot of things that a smartwatch can also do. Aside from tracking your activities, it can also sync your notifications from your paired smartphone or tablet. It also has a heart-rate monitor which is something that the consumer now wants in a wearable. It can also track your calories burned, step count, distance traveled, stairs climbed, and sleep pattern. The best thing about it? An extraordinary long battery life, despite the monitor, the touch screen and the always on display. It says that you can use the wearable for up to five days.

Meanwhile, the Index Smart Scale can also track your health, although of course you can’t carry it around with you. Aside from getting your weight, it also records your body fat percentage, body mass index, water percentage, and muscle and bone mass. And no need for a pen and paper to record all these. You can transfer the data to the Garmin app directly and can record stats for up to 16 different people.

The VivoSmart HR comes in black, blue and purple while the Index Smart Scale has black or white colors. Both will be available by November and are priced at $150 each.
