Garmin has long been known to be active in the wearable business but it’s popular for health tracking now more than as a digital smartwatch maker. Actually, Garmin hasn’t focused solely on regular, everyday smartwatches. It always introduces products for the health and fitness community. This time however, the brand is showing us the Vivomove watch. Is it a smartwatch? Well, sort of but it looks like a regular analog watch but with health tracking abilities.
The Garmin Vivomove looks like any other classic round timepiece you have. No one would think it has health tracking powers because there is no display screen. You won’t be able to use it as a small wrist-computer but the sensors help in tracking your sleep and number of steps. It comes in different cases from white to black, rose gold, gold-tone, and stainless steel. The watch works with a compatible app that allows wireless syncing with any mobile device. The red bar functions as a “move reminder” that will alert and remind you to move.
To say that the Garmin Vivomove is fashionable is an understatement. Of course, it is because it looks just like any other fashion watch. However, it’s not something you can place beside and compare with the gorgeous Huawei Watch Jewel and Elegant variants. But if you’re looking for something less complicated that can track some of your physical activities, this one is for you.
The Garmin Vívomove’s battery can last up to one year. You can interchange the bands–choose leather or silicone depending on your mood. Watch is also water-resistant so you can even wear it for a swim. What’s cool about this watch is that it will tell you if you have been inactive for a while. The key here is to really move if you don’t want the Garmin watch alerting you from time to time.
The Garmin Vívomove is affordable for only $149 for the black or white sport edition. The rose gold with leather band or black with leather is $199. If you want the more premium version– stainless steel+leather band or gold-tone steel +leather band–is a bit pricey at $299.
