Another day, another new Garmin device is announced. It seems the wearable brand has been introducing new products almost every month. This time, it is aimed at runners who are looking to have a more accurate heart rate sensor, since the Forerunner 35, an update of the Forerunner 25, has a wrist-based heart rate sensor to keep track of you when you’re working out. It also has a higher-resolution display and better battery life as well.

The wearable also tracks essential data like your distance, pace, and even your personal records through your built-in GPS. It will be able to detect activities like walking, running, cycling, treadmill running, and other cardio activities so it’s a pretty good activity tracker if that’s what you’re looking for. Despite it being waterproof to some extent, it won’t be able to detect and track water-based activities like swimming.

It can also be a notification hub for you as you can set it to vibrate or send you notifications when you have incoming calls, text messages, emails, calendars events, etc. The device’s battery life can run up to nine days if you use it for just as a watch and in activity tracking mode but if you’re using it for training mode, it will only last up to 13 hours. The smartwatch can sync with the Garmin Connect mobile app on your smartphone and use it to connect with the Garmin fitness community.

The Garmin Forerunner 35 will be available in the 3rd quarter of 2016 and you can choose from four colors, namely black, limelight, frost blue, and white. The SRP is at $199.99.
