Of all the apps that you can get on the Android platform, games are the most popular and the most likely to be paid for. A company called Exent is bringing a new subscription mobile gaming service to the Android platform called GameTanium Mobile. The service will have a monthly fee of $4.99 for access. That monthly fee will give players access to every game they want that the service offers.
There are 75 games on the service at launch. Exent already powers mobile gaming services for Verizon, T-Mobile and Qwest. The GameTanium service will have editors that keep an ongoing list of games that are expected to be popular with the subscribers. By the end of the year, there will be more than 200 games on the service.
The game publishers signed up to participate are big names too with PopCap, Ubisoft, and others. The game service will live or die by the quality of the games. If the games suck, the service will die. However, if the service offers good games the $4.99 monthly fee isn’t that expensive.
