Things are slowing down a bit in the tablet market. One of the areas that continues to post significant growth is the low-end market where people shop on a budget. Typically when Samsung rolls out a new tablet, it isn’t aiming at these budget shoppers but looking to combat Apple and its high price iPad line.

Samsung has rolled out a new tablet that is going directly for the low-end shoppers out there looking for a basic device on a budget. The new tablet is called the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite Wi-Fi and it has gone official on the Samsung website for the Netherlands.

The tablet has a 7-inch WSVGA screen, a 1.3GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a microSD card slot. Other features include WiFi and a 3600 mAh internal battery. The operating system is Android 4.4 KitKat and the front camera is a VGA unit with a 2MP rear camera.

Exactly what sort of processor is used in the tablet we don’t know. The website lists both quad-core and dual-core units. The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is available in Hungary now for 34,900 HUF, which works out to $126 in the US.
