The Samsung Galaxy S6 line may not be as successful in terms of sales as expected but the other variants (S6 edge and S6 edge+) have certainly caught our attention. The 2015 flagship phones will soon be replaced by the next model but that’s still a few months from now . Of course, rumors can never be too early so allow us to entertain early information and leaks about what could be the Samsung Galaxy S7.

Samsung is believed to be working on a new method in development and releasing new phones that a ‘Lucky-LTE’ phone was sighed on a Geekbench benchmark database. It turned out to be the Project Lucky which we believe is the next Galaxy S7 phone.

We can expect the S7 to run an Exynos 8890 processor but a Snapdragon 820 version is not an impossibility too since Samsung still uses Qualcomm for some variants. The South Korean giant could still be in the process of testing which chipset will perform best. Qualcomm products are still good–the Snapdragon 810 just wasn’t as the company expected it to be what with the overheating problem and all.

Sources say the next Galaxy S7 will feature a speedy UFS 2.0 storage and might have an SD card slot. The latter is something Samsung did away with the S6 phones, much to the chagrin of Samsung fans who are demanding for storage expansion. However, these two are not able to co-exist on one phone so Samsung could be doing some trials before making a final decision.

There’s also the idea that Samsung is looking at a 20MP ISOCELL camera for the Galaxy S7 and the “all lens cover” project”– we really don’t know what that means.

Samsung-Galaxy-S7-AnTuTu-Benchmark-1

Note that there’s a product sighted in AnTuTu recently that we strongly believe is the next flagship phone complete with a Snapdragon 820 as one variant. Here’s what we know so far about the “Lucky Project” (Galaxy S7) phone: Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, Qualcom Snapdragon 820, Adreno (TM) 530, 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, 5.-7inch screen, 16MP main camera, 5MP rear camera, 4GB RAM, and 64GB built-in storage.

Th phone scores 72,355 points in AnTuTu (single threaded floating point) and in 3D graphics performance, some 23,597 points. Samsung still has a winner in the Exynos 7420 followed by the Qualcomm S820 that is still great and then Snapdragon 810.
