Since announcing the impressive looking 5.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Note 3 up on stage earlier this month, we’ve all been waiting to find out exactly when we can get one. AT&T will be shipping the Galaxy Note 3 on October 1st, with T-Mobile following on the second, but now we’re hearing Best Buy might beat all US carriers to the punch and offer it unlocked later this week.

Earlier this week AT&T and T-Mobile announced ship dates following the pre-orders of the new Note 3, which detailed the new smartphone/tablet hybrid to start shipping a the beginning of October. However, some leaked screenshots reveals Best Buy will have it in store and available starting Thursday.

SamMobile received a few screenshots from a local Best Buy which shows the dates being mentioned above. According to their sources the Note 3 will be available on Thursday September 19th. Oddly though, this is the non-LTE Samsung Exynos 8-core model, and not the 4G LTE capable Snapdragon 800 3GB version for all the US carriers. So while we’re not exactly sure what’s going on here, it appears US buyers will have the option, so long as you go to a Best Buy.

They go on to state the $999 price in their image is likely a placeholder, and the price should be considerably lower. We won’t know however until Samsung or Best buy reveals the details themselves. I don’t know about you guys, but the power of the Snapdragon 800 along with 4G LTE and 4K video support makes this a no-go for me. I’m fine with waiting a few weeks to get one from AT&T (or others) with full LTE support.

That aside this should still rock Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, that S-Pen stylus, all those fancy features and a 5.68-inch full HD display for all your note-taking needs. Who’s interested?

      • I had both variations of the GS4 (i9500 & M919) and the performance was very similar. I find the quad core, carrier branded models to be speedier. What I don’t get is why they just didn’t release the same chipset in the korean LTE S4 (octanos+LTE) in their new flagship….

      • I am not talking about that “fast” ,i am talking about cpu/gpu,those lags would
be solved with a software update …..5420 wasn’t available at that time ,also there may have b een production issues

  1. This has me interested. I figured i would have had to go thru Negri electronics and pay the higher prices. But this will have me go into best buy for the first time in a long time.
