If you’re one of the many who has been waiting patiently to get your hands on a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, then we’ve got good news for you. The Galaxy Nexus is listed as being “in stock” over at the Google Play Store once more! The Galaxy Nexus was taken down from the store completely after Apple successfully filed a preliminary injunction that saw the Galaxy Nexus banned from sale in the US. When a 9th Circuit Court temporarily overturned the ban, the Galaxy Nexus popped back up on the Google Play Store, but this time it had an estimated delivery time of 1-2 weeks, suggesting that the Galaxy Nexus wasn’t actually in stock.
Now, we’re happy to say that we can put that whole episode behind us (at least for the moment, anyway). The Galaxy Nexus is officially in stock again at the Google Play Store with an estimated delivery in 3-5 business days. Feels pretty good to see those two little words up on the listing once more, doesn’t it?
Now that the Galaxy Nexus is available for sale once more, it will likely get the OTA update to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean that solves Apple’s issues with the device. This whole thing between Apple, Google, and Samsung isn’t quite over yet, but so long as the update to 4.1.1 does what it’s intended to do, it should be smooth sailing from here on out for the Galaxy Nexus.
