We’ve been hearing about the rumored Samsung Galaxy Buds for some time now which will be unveiled on February 20 as well. Usually Samsung would pair a new flagship device with premium headphones but this time around, instead of AKG or even the Gear IconX (2018), we’re getting these truly wireless earbuds. A few days before the official launch, now we’re seeing renders of the device and it looks like they will also come in the color black aside from the previously leaked white.

What is different from the Galaxy Buds from the Gear IconX is that you can use the reverse charging feature of the Galaxy S10 family to juice it up. And you’ll probably need to re-charge it a lot since the built-in battery is only 58mAh and the charging case has 252mAh. We hope the Buds have better lasting power though because the Gear Icon X wasn’t praised for its battery life.

The Galaxy Buds can be used in stand-alone mode since it has better internal storage specs at 8GB which should be able to store around 2,000 songs. This means you can use it even without your phone nearby. The earphones have also been upgraded to Bluetooth 5.0 but will have the same sweat-resistance rating as the Gear IconX at IPX2.

What we don’t know right now is how much they will cost when it is finally released. It will supposedly be unveiled alongside the Galaxy S10 line and will also be included in the promotional pre-order package in some territories. It will not be included in the Galaxy S10 box but will be sold separately.
