If you can’t get enough of homicidal bears that are out to scare the beejezus out of you, well the good news is that Five Nights at Freddy’s is back with a new installment. The bad news is that there are new and probably more terrifying characters that will make you thankful you don’t have a real security job at a real pizza joint. The point-and-click survival game’s second edition has been teased by developers for the past month, showing the dilapidated animatronic toys, and now they’re probably back for vengeance.
Just like the original game, the setting is at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza joint, and this time, you’re assigned as the new security guard at nighttime (because apparently the previous one quit and we wonder why). Your job is to make sure that the animatronic toys stay where they’re supposed to be (which should be, not animated) and you do it through monitoring security cameras. The lights still flicker on and off, making your job of monitoring the place doubly difficult. Oh, and did we mention that there’s a chance you’ll die or even get decapitated?
You also now get your own Freddy Fazbear head which you can use to fool these new characters just in case they enter your surveillance office. So you better practice acting like a psychotic bear so you can make the other creatures believe that you’re indeed one of them. Again, you cannot fight them off in this game, but you just have to make sure that they don’t escape by switching through cameras and then locking them in the rooms where they’re supposed to be.
There are five nights in the game, with each night lasting around ten minutes. You’d think that was short but you will probably wish it was shorter when you’re almost peeing in your pants. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is available at the Google Play Store for $2.99.
