Ever since January, people have been speculating about the next Nexus device that will come out, specifically which OEM will be partnering with Google for this smartphone and of course, what new thing it will bring to the table. With a launch date expected later this month, the rumors and leaks are becoming stronger. Today, we have what is supposedly the final design look of the Nexus 5 (2015), whose name is also not that final as of yet.
The new Nexus will supposedly be manufactured by LG this time around and the leaked image somewhat confirms rumors that have been floating around about, at least design-wise. There is a circular finger scanner below the rear camera, kind of what the Huawei Honor 7 has, except that one is not circular. On the left hand part of the back, there seems to be a dual LED flash and a laser auto focus module. This shows that they are indeed serious in giving better photos and videos in this model, although the specs don’t seem as good as that of the LG G4.
In terms of other specs, which we can’t really confirm from the leaked picture, the Nexus 5 (2015) will reportedly have a 5.2-inch full HD display and will be running on a Snapdragon 808 CPU. It will have 3GB RAM, a 2,700mAh battery, and the USB Type-C, which they say will be the future.
The Nexus 5 (2015) will reportedly launch on September 29, together with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the Nexus 6 (2015) from Huawei. The one from LG will supposedly be less than $400, so let’s see if people will bite or if this is actual true.
