Facebook has updated its app for Android users with a cool new feature. The latest version of the app is 1.6 and it will operate on Android devices running 1.5 and up. The biggest new feature of the update is that users can now upload video to their Facebook profile using version 1.6. The app also has several other updates that are included. The new updates include news feed improvements and limited support for pages.
The updated app will be welcome by hoards of Facebook users that also have an Android smartphone. There are over 250 million users of the social network today and about 65 million of that number actively use a mobile device and app to access the network. The Facebook app is also the second most popular for users with 45% accessing the app every 30 days with the app. The top app for Android users is Google Maps.
The new update should be on the Android Market right now for download. What new features would you like to see in the next update of the app for Android users? I bet many people will use the video upload function of the updated app.

Adding new features is fine, but did they ever fix the push notification problem?
Video uploads are great, but this latest version seems to have broken check-ins. At least on my phone it crashes every time. Even after an uninstall/reinstall.

Bout time we got the ability to like comments. I was starting to think it would never happen.
