Magic. Intrigue. Deception. Light. Shadows. These are just some of the words that will stick with you when you play Contrast. Basically, you will be an imaginary friend in this game called Dawn, and since you are the creation of a young girl named Didi, then you are as fluid as they come. You can slip in between worlds, from a 3D landscape into a parallel 2D shadow world that is bound to the former. But using some light elements from 3D, you can cast light on the shadowy story and eventually help finish Didi’s story.
Contrast is a truly unique game that has a dreamy and surreal vibe, inspired by the 1920s, and incorporating elements like vaudeville, film noir, magic, etc. Even the soundtrack is well thought of, giving you a bit of jazzy and sultry background music as you try to finish the game.
You can download Contrast from the Google Play Store for $14.99. Of course it’s a bit more expensive than most games since there is a 3D element to it. To be able to enjoy the full console experience, it’s best if you play the game through SHIELD Android TV.
