With the updated app, the Android widget now features a simpler and more streamlined functionality. It also brings some of the more important and frequently used Evernote feature onto your phone’s home screen.
The widget types are categorized into three: Actions widget, Action bar, and List Widget. Any of this widget can make your home screen powerful in many ways. The Actions widget offers quick access to search, camera, or a note. A simple tap of an icon will do the command you set. Meanwhile, you can set your own Evernote functions from the 11 actions pre-set. The List widget offers shortcuts to some important actions depending on your preference.
The Simple Note is a new feature on Evernote that let’s you write in a simpler manner on your home screen via a widget. Clicks and taps are reduced so you can easily launch Evernote to jot down a quick message.
