The second generation of the Samsung Galaxy A series, specifically the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A7, will be released in China in time for Christmas or at least by the end of the year. The rest of the world will have to wait for the New Year though as it will have its worldwide release by January 2016. For the folks over in Europe waiting to get their hands on the mid-tier devices, you only have to wait until January 8, at least according to a Dutch retailer.
The Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 are now available for pre-order from the Dutch retailer and will supposedly be available by January 8. It is still not sure if the Galaxy A7 will actually be released in Europe. There is also still no news if North America will actually be able to have any of the three new Galaxy A devices. Other Asian countries aside from Korea and China will most definitely get it, as the A series may prove to be a popular one for some emerging markets.
The Galaxy A3 sports a 4.7-inch 720 x 1280 display and runs on a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor. It will have a 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory but it can be expanded through a microSD card. It will have a 2300 mAh battery and as for the camera, the main one is 13MP main camera and a 5MP front-facing one. It will retail in the Netherlands at least, for €329.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy A5 will also have the same specs for the camera, but it is more improved with regards to the other aspects. It is bigger with a 5.2 inch 1080 x 1920 pixels display and is powered by an octa-core 1.6 GHz processor. The 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage (also expandable) and the 2900 mAh battery is slightly better than the Galaxy A3. It will retail for €429.
