Retro graphics and 8-bit style may be the currend trend in mobile gaming but nothing beats your old favorite coming to life. I mean those old games you used to play when you were a kid come back in the modern times in high-definition. (Think the Star Wars Trilogy being remastered) The latest item from your childhood introduced and now ready for your kids to enjoy is this: DuckTales.
Woo-oo! I bet you sang that bit from your favorite Disney show. If you’ve ever played the game, you’d be delighted this remastered version is all ready for your taking. That is, if you’re willing to pay $9.99. That may be too much for an old game. You might say you’d just unearth your old Gameboy and NES from the attic. But oh dear geek, if you really love Scrooge McDuck and his nephews and enjoy their globe-trotting adventures, ten bucks is nothing. After all, you can relive your happy childhood (is it?) and share the game with your children now.
Scrooge McDuck is still part of an epic adventure. He may be old but he’s ready to discover the five more Legendary Treasures. Travel to the moon, African mines, Transylvania, Amazon, and the Himalayas to collect new treasures by referring to a secret map. Just like old times, you need to be wary of the Beagle Boys and Magica De Spell, the evil sorceress, because they will never stop stealing Scrooge’s fortune. Just fight the villains and save Huey, Dewey and Louie.
Cane swing and pogo jump? Scrooge McDuck can still do those to attack the enemies. Your goal is to finish the game by increasing your health and gaining extra hearts. Collect more gems to unlock more than 90 production art pieces from the original TV show.
The old DuckTales gang, the original voice talents, were tapped to be part of the digital game. It’s remastered alright so expect more vivid and richly painted animation and a digitally-enhanced soundtrack. Storyline and character narration were expanded to attract the younger players as well.
