“Simple concept, complex solution.” This is what the developers of this new Android game had in mind when creating this, not to torture those who will be playing it, but simply to play around the idea that even the simplest things can become a challenge. Unium’s goal is for you to draw a straight line in a grid with tiles, but just like life, nothing is that easy.
The minimalist puzzle game simply has one goal: to draw a straight line across the grid of tiles. But this isn’t just any straight line of course. You need to turn the black tiles into white by passing over them in a single, unbroken line. Everytime you pass through a black tile, it flips over and becomes white. There are also gray tiles in the grid, but they don’t change color so you can pass over them. The lines may also overlap and if it does, the tiles will flip every time.
Of course you get the easier puzzles first in order to unlock the more complicated ones. The game has over 100 levels and twenty achievements to unlock. In terms of graphics, it has a very stark and minimalistic feel, in keeping also with its simple concept.
Unium is available at the Google Play Store for just $1.99. There are no in-app purchases available, just this one-time payment for now. If you’re looking for a quick pick me up type of game (that could also trap you for hours, mind you), then that minimal payment should be worth it.
