If you already think that the photos you take on your Samsung Galaxy devices are the bomb but needs improvement, you should be on the lookout for other mobile photography accessories to help you become an awesome picture taker, even without a DSLR camera. Photojojo has just released a new line of Iris lenses that might take you on your way to becoming the Annie Leibowitz of smartphone photography. And no, we’re not being sarcastic, we really believe in the power of photos from mobile devices.
To help you take even more awesome looking pictures (and we’re not just talking selfies here), the new line of Iris lenses specifically made for smartphones include a wide-angle lens, a macro lens, and a fisheye lens. It is both made from excellent material and at the same time, is highly convenient, which is the sign of a great mobile accessory. They are housed in billeted aluminum, just like the actual lens from DSLRs. You can use it both for smartphones that have a case and don’t have a case. For those with cases, there is a small wedge of plastic which you can use to mount the lens on your smartphone camera.
The lenses themselves use a multi-element high-refraction glass that promises that it will “offer excellent clarity”. It also includes a “stretchy fastener” so that you can wear the lens like a bracelet if you’re not using it, but is also at hand in case you suddenly need it. The lenses were designed in San Francisco, engineered in Europe and then constructed in Korea.
The Photojojo Iris lenses are compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S6. Hopefully, this line or other future products will have more compatibility for those who have other devices but would like to be great mobile photographers too.
