The regular low price for apps in the Play Store is $0.99, however it appears Google and Disney must have combined for a special offer. A quick look at the Disney apps in the Play Store show many have been put on sale. The apps are all clearly marked with the red sale banner across the corner of the icon, but the interesting part here is the price — $0.49.

Disney has a little more than 45 apps in the Play Store, and of those, 12 of them have dropped to $0.49. The newly discounted apps include Disney Christmas Tree, Where’s My Mickey? (XL version), Where’s My Mickey?, Where’s My Perry?, Where’s My Water?, Toy Story: Smash It, Jelly Car 3, Monsters, Inc. Run, Monsters University, Wreck It Ralph, Temple Run: Oz and Temple Run: Brave.

Of the remaining apps, two stuck with their original prices. The It’s a Small World and Doc McStuffins apps are $1.99 and $3.99 respectively. Otherwise, there are still numerous Disney apps available for free including Radio Display, Disney Zoom, The Lone Ranger, Habit Heroes and others.

Neither Disney, or the Play Store listings for the apps have an end date for the sale. Needless to say, given we are now sitting a few days before Christmas — it seems likely this sale will last at least for a few days. After all, we suspect Disney realizes that plenty of little kids will be unwrapping tablets and other Android devices come Christmas morning.
