People in the world of gadgets love to speculate about upcoming devices, just like people who are into pop culture talk about movies, tv shows, books, etc. Just a few days into 2016 and already there are numerous leaks and rumors about Samsung flagship for 2016, what we assume to be the Galaxy S7. Now a video from a 3D designer may fool some people into thinking it’s the actual device, but of course, these are all still based on rumored specs and leaks.
The actual specs of the Galaxy S7 is still probably a few weeks away but we haven’t run out of speculation about what it will look like and what will be inside. What seems to be most different from the current flagship is that it may be rolling with a backside.just like with the Galaxy Note 5. This may be so it will appear thinner and feel thinner as well since the edge curves inward at the back. The edge version of the device will probably be the same except the edges are up front and of course it has a curved-edge display. It’s rumored that the display is a 5.1-inch Super-AMOLED with 1440 x 2650 pixel resolution.
As for what’s inside, this is what we’ve heard so far. It will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, Samsung Exynos 8890 (octa-core) and will have Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It will have a 4GB RAM and variants with 16, 32, and 64 GB for internal storage, with an option to extend through a microSD card. Camera will be a 20MP main one and an 8MP front-facing selfie cam. It will supposedly have a fingerprint scanner, a Force Touch pressure sensitive panel and Corning Glass 5 for the back and front panels.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to be officially unveiled at the Mobile World Congress this February 22-25 in Barcelona. So we probably will have more renders and speculation leading up to next month.
