It’s no secret that Marvel has been kicking DC’s butt all the way to the bank, in terms of movies and even TV shows. But there are still those who are pretty much invested in the fictional lives of superheroes like Batman and Superman, and even the lesser known DC Universe characters. If you think the movies sucked but you’re still a fan, then you might want to check out their latest game, DC Legends, which is finally available for Android devices.
In this game, you would need to form a team of Superheroes and Super Villains from various DC properties in order to fight against Nekron and the Manhunters. You can choose to make your allegiance to the Justice League or build your own Lantern Corp. You can even pair certain unlikely allies that in “real life” would never work together, because, hey, this is your game they’re in and they would have to play nice. Each hero has certain powers and expertise, so you would have to choose carefully which one you want for your mission.
The story-driven campaign will take you to familiar DC places, like Metropolis, Themyscira, Thanager, etc and let you explore the superpowers of various heroes like Superman’s Heat Vision, Bizarro’s Flame Breath, or Flash’s Speed Force Vortex. There are 14 leagues around the world that you can join and play against players from various places. You can collect gear, upgrade powers, win gift items and other things you can normally do in RPG titles.
You can download DC Legend from the Google Play Store for free. Of course there are in-app purchases available, so if you’re willing to spend real money, then that’s great for you.
