There are a lot of email apps out there to help you communicate with people while on your mobile devices. While a lot of people use Gmail, Inbox, Mail, or even their device’s native email app, there are still some out in the market that have great features and may even be better than the bigger named apps we mentioned. One of those that have received rave reviews from Android users and tech enthusiasts is CloudMagic. Their latest update makes the compose page better and adds support for drafts as well.
When you’re composing an email, you don’t need a lot of bells and whistles, but just a space to write down concise thoughts (or even long-winded ones, depending on what your email is for) and be able to attach and send things easily. CloudMagic’s update has redesigned the compose page to a more minimalist and functional look, with a larger area for writing and those things that you rarely use (like cc or bcc) are hidden from the screen. It gives you your most emailed contacts as suggestions and instead of long email addresses, it just gives you contact names. When you click the attached picture, it gives you thumbnails of your most recent pictures taken and if you want to take a picture at that moment, you can also do so without leaving the compose box.
One thing missing from the previous versions of CloudMagic is support for drafts. So when you composed your emails, you had to send them immediately or they will be lost forever. But now, they have finally added drafts, so if you’re not yet sure whether you should send that crucial email (we hope it’s not a break-up email though), then you can save it for later (or for deleting). But if you’re using Exchange ActiveSync, it does not support automatic syncing of drafts so your draft will be saved locally.
The update for CloudMagic should be rolling out to users starting today. If you haven’t tried the email app yet, you can download it for free from the Google Play Store and it has several in-app purchases available. CloudMagic has also done away with the “Pro” subscription, so all features are available even to free users.
