CAT S30 Android Smartphone IFA 2015 A

CAT Phones will always be known for producing the most rugged and kick-ass Android phones. The company makes affordable smartphones that can withstand even the harshest weather conditions and most extreme outdoor adventures. This week at the IFA event, CAT has introduced yet another rugged phone for you: the CAT S30–an obvious follow-up to the S40 revealed back in July and last year’s S50 model.

The CAT S30 is built to last. It’s been “made rugged” for the professionals who are tough, rough, and always on-the-go. It comes with an easy-grip casing so it won’t slip from your hand. Phone is made from a ‘shear strength material’ that is IP68 and Mil SPEC 810G certified. This device is perfect for those in challenging environments like constructions, industrial, mining, or in a military war zone.

What’s good about the CAT S30 is you can use it even with your gloves on. Specs are not as high but this one is really meant for basic smartphone use in challenging conditions. The 4.5-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen is enough for you to access your favorite Android apps. Phone is drop-, water-, dust-, and shock-proof and boasts of its Wet-Finger Tracking Technology and Glove-On Working Technology. CAT S30 will be available this September for 329 euros ($367).

  1. Poor little RAM and screen resolution for that size. Specifications over three years ago. IP8 is the only good thing here. Sorry but it’s true.

    • I got to agree. 1GB of RAM makes it pretty much unusable with today’s apps. 2GB is what it takes to turn this product from an object good just for calling into an all terrain, all purpose beast.
