Bose has announced the latest in the SoundLink product lineup. This new entry is the SoundLink Bluetooth speaker III, which is touted as being Bose’s “best-performing Bluetooth speaker yet.” This claim comes as a result of improvements to the audio performance as well as an updated design and improved battery life.
The SoundLink III is said to offer up to 14 hours of battery life. Otherwise, the speaker weighs in at 3 pounds and sits with measurements of 5 (H) x 10 (W) x 2 (D) inches. In terms of the design, the SoundLink III sports a wraparound metal grille, which is said to be fingerprint resistant. The speaker also has a silicone button panel which should help to protect against dust and/or dirt.
But just in case you are looking for a bit more protection, Bose also has accessory covers available. These covers should add a bit more in terms of protection, however they also touch on the color and style. They are available in blue, green, gray, orange and pink. The SoundLink III streams over a Bluetooth A2DP connection and also sports a Bluetooth LED signal light in an effort to make pairing and device switching easier.
For clarification, this speaker can hold up to six devices in memory, which means it should be able to accommodate a family, or gadget enthusiast. Perhaps key here though, Bose has said the SoundLink III is able to “reproduce music with fullness, clarity and depth” by way of “four neodymium transducers and dual-opposing passive radiators combine with a new digital signal processing algorithm.”
The SoundLink III is already available direct from Bose. The speaker is priced at $299.95 and those accessory covers sell for $34.95 each.
