BLU Products may have skipped IFA 2015 in Berlin but the company is definitely ready for the CTIA event in Las Vegas this weekend. As the US market leader for unlocked mobile devices, BLU announced the Pure XL and the ultra-thin Vivo Air LTE. Both phones boast of impressive specs that could bring them at par with some of the premium models in the market.
The BLU Pure XL is most interesting because it’s the first in the US to use the MediaTek Helio X10. The premium SoC is a 64-bit True Octa-core processor so you know the smartphone can offer great power efficiency and performance. Amazon will be listing the Pure XL starting the 29th of September with a $349 price tag and complete with a 6-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display screen, 4G LTE connectivity, 64GB built-in storage, 3GB RAM, and a 24MP rear-facing camera. Phone is unlocked and supported by AT&T and T-Mobile.
The 2.0GHz 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 Octa-core processor of the BLU Pure XL allows the unit to run several apps at once without any problem. AnTuTu benchmark gave the Pure XL a 49,000 score which is one of the highest in the market at present. Phone is ideal for extreme gaming and fast browsing and promises long battery life.
There’s also the Vivo Air LTE that is super thin at only 5.1mm. According to BLU Products, it’s the lightest and thinnest phone with 4G LTE today in the US. As a follow-up to last year’s Vivo Air Series, the Vivo Air LTE now features a 2GB RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410. BLU has maintained the $199 price of this smartphone which is already available on Amazon. If you order the phone today, expect to receive it anytime before September 22.
