With all the RPGs around that you can choose from in the Google Play Store – and not all of them very good to begin with – an Android gamer would be pretty wary of new RPGs, thinking that it would just be a waste of time to download and install. So we would hope that this new RPG from Kemco – called “Blood of Calamity” – will be worth our time.
The RPG is set in an imaginary ancient Japan, where demons – called Yokai – live with humans. The nation is divided and controlled by four clans, of which the user’s character is an heir to the throne of one of these powerful clans. As it happens, an attack was made on his clan by demons and your character will be out to avenge them.
Pretty standard plot, but the Yokai element is a fresh addition. Along the way, you’ll battle demons and humans in turn-based gameplay. There will be special attacks exclusive to clans, and these take on different forms when used by different characters.
This JRPG seems to have the quality and solid storyline for a good RPG to install and dig into. The game is available at a sale price right now of USD$3.99, probably an introductory price.
