Verizon recently made an announcement that another series of update is ready for the BlackBerry PRIV. It’s no longer the only Android-powered smartphone as the DTEK50 and DTEK60 have been announced already but the device remains to be its premium flagship Android model. The company has always been regular in releasing software updates. It’s the only group who keeps its promises that’s why it’s still high in reliability and privacy.
Make sure you are connected to a WiFi network or to mobile Internet via Verizon’s network. Battery must also be full to start the download and installation. This version of the software specifically is the AAH376. This brings enhancements to your current Android 6.0 Marshmallow BlackBerry Priv including better app permissions and battery-smart functions.
WiFi calling is also now available. You don’t need to pay extra just so you can use your number to receive and make calls even when outside the United States–specifically when you’re in Mexico. Just activate the WiFi Calling feature by going to the Settings> Advanced Calling > Activate Advanced Calling. There are also some updates for the Now on Tap, Runtime Permissions, Google Settings, and Blackberry Keyboard.
With the improved keyboard prediction engine, you can have a faster and better typing experience, let the device learn words with numbers, write emails more easily with name suggestions, and swipe across keys to enter new words on the keyboard.

BlackBerry initially released the update seven months ago. Verizon is super slow. I still haven’t received the update.
Just got the update. It did change the layout slightly, but more importatnly it added apps I had not authorized to download. DT Ignite seems to be the major culprit. But it added a caller ID thing (Verizon based, you can disable.), some slot game, a soda crush thing maybe, ebay, and I think one more app. it right pissed me off!
all the stuff, save for DT ignite can be uninstalled.
