There’s no giving up for BlackBerry. The Canadian smartphone pioneer will continue to spread the good news of mobile security even if it has already crossed over to the Android platform. BlackBerry has so far launched the PRIV and the most recent one, the DTEK50. The latter is a mid-range phone while the PRIV is more of a premium flagship. This time, BlackBerry wants to bring its most trusted security feature to people all over the world by introducing the BlackBerry Hub+.
The BlackBerry Hub+ is the same set of services made available in BlackBerry 10 but is now ported to the Android platform. The productivity software suite will be present in the PRIV, DTEK50, and all devices running Marshmallow. The suite was developed by the Mobility Solutions Group which is a new division in BlackBerry.
BlackBerry Hub+ features the important software that makes all BlackBerry phones safe, private, and secure. With this launch, the OEM aims to bring the benefits to more Android phones. According to BlackBerry, this will streamline productivity tasks like Passwords and Calendaring. It’s unified interface where mobile users can find and access all they need to ensure phone is protected from outside attacks.
Other Android device owners already on Marshmallow can take advantage of this BlackBerry Hub+. A trial version which includes the BlackBerry Hub, Password Keeper, and Calendar is ready on the Google Play Store.
The suite of apps are offered free but ads will show after one month. If you want the ad-free suite, pay only 99 cents as monthly subscription for all apps and features like Notes, Launcher, Device Search, Contacts, and Tasks.

Blackberry is a primarily a software company, and that part of its business is growing at 30%, would you give that up?
