The BlackBerry Priv is still alive. We’re not sure how many units BlackBerry has sold the past few months but we know numbers are still not up. The Canadian smartphone pioneer already has two new mid-range offerings–the DTEK50 and DTEK60–so now we’re hoping that somehow, things will be better. The company still continues to improve on things and it will only keep its promise of a more safe, secure, and private mobile experience.
The BlackBerry DTEK60 was only announced recently but it doesn’t mean the Priv will be forgotten. In fact, BlackBerry just said that it is now working with AT&T to release a quick fix for the ‘No Service’ issue. You see, the Priv has been reported to show a ‘No Service’ error. That’s one annoying bug that we’re sure some Priv owners have experienced. This problem has been reported since September but good thing BlackBerry and the carrier are now working on a fix after cause has been identified.
We don’t know how many percentage of the Priv owners have been affected but we’re assuming only a small part of the market. We don’t even know if this is also experienced on Verizon. We’re guessing only AT&T because it’s the only one involved here (or at least we know of).
