Microsoft recently updated the Bing Search app for Android. No new features have been added just some security improvements. It’s not urgent to download the update but it could just be a pre-release of something bigger. Actually, it’s been a while since Bing Search was updated. We’re hoping the next major overhaul will finally include Material Design.
An updated Bing Search is now live on the Play Store but only security improvements are listed. A changelog has been spotted and published which lists a redesigned homepage, QR scanning, improved web search, QR scanning, better Bing Rewards, and easier and more accessible privacy controls. All it takes is one tap so you can you see new movies, restaurants, videos, images, deals, attractions, and maps near you
With Bing Search, you can still access your Bing Rewards credits, search history, and bookmarks right on the app. There’s also Bing Snapshots that is also like the Google Now’s “On Tap”. Make sure you set the permission because app will require permission to the ‘Accessibility’ feature on a device.
Bing Rewards are still available so you can continue getting more points for every time you use Bing Search. The points can be collected to get more points in exchange for Starbucks or an Amazon gift card.
