It will only be just a few days before Bethesda launches one of the most eagerly awaited games of the year, Fallout 4. Those who pre-ordered the game have even received their real-life Pip-Boy wrist accessory that can take in your smartphone and act like what it pretty much is in the Fallout franchise. But the smartphone needs the Pip-Boy app, and that has rolled out exclusively via the Google Play Store today.
Fallout 4 is scheduled to launch on November 10, and when the game launches, the Pip-boy app will be able to interact with the game in various ways. Players can use the app to check their character’s status in Fallout 4 including stats, inventory, map, and radio. The app also has the ability to play holotape games, with Atomic Command included for free, and the games you can pick up all over the wasteland.
For now, the game is pretty much useless – although there is a demo where you can play around the app and see what it does. I don’t suppose you’re so excited about Fallout 4 that you’ll be playing with the demo for 5 straight days.
In any case, you can pick up the app from the download link below – it’s free to download. Fallout 4, however, is most definitely not free. You have to purchase the game to do anything meaningful in the companion app.
