When you’re on long commutes or drives (given that you’re not the one driving), oftentimes you’d want to immerse yourself with whatever it is you’re listening to, rather than make small talk with people or listen to the city bustle. The list of earphones and headphones that you can choose from that will do just that continues to grow, and now Bang & Olufsen, a pretty reliable brand for audio accessories, is adding to that list. The Beoplay H9 is a wireless, over-ear headphones with hybrid active noise cancelling.
Aside from the aforementioned features, the headphones also has a solid and lightweight aluminum frame that has stitched cowhide leather, but is also pretty comfortable because of the soft lambskin coated ear cushion. It even has adaptive memory form that will go with the shape and curve of your ear so that it will still be comfortable and “breathable” even after you’ve worn it for several hours. These ear cushions are also the isolating element for the headphones so that the high frequency sounds will be left out of your listening experience.
On the right ear cup, you’ll find a touch interface so you can control your H9 even without touching the connected device. With a touch or swipe, you can do several things like activate the noise cancellation feature, change songs if you feel like skipping the current track, answer calls, and of course, control the volume. You can also use the Beoplay App to personalize your listening experience, by adjusting the tone and sound staging and settings, as well as monitor the battery consumption.
The Beoplay H9 can last up to 14 hours on a full, 3-hour charge. It will be available in two colors, Black and Argilla Gray and has an SRP of $499. It will come with a bag, a charging cable and an audio cable. It will be available this month in Bang & Olufsen stores, its online store, and in third-party retailers.
