Pirates may not be the most in thing right now, as compared to zombies and such, but we will never run out of people who are still fascinated with these kings of the high seas. And if you have a secret dream to become one but have neither the ship nor the crew (nor the desire to go to prison), at least you can practice on your mobile devices. The latest game to take on a pirating adventure is Pirate Battles: Corsairs Bay.
This is a turn-based, multiplayer strategy game where you aim to become the king of the high seas by building your own fleet, defeating the other competitive pirates in the game (some may be your friends!), gathering as much booty as you can, and eventually building an “impregnable pirate empire”. The game has over 100 levels to play, and even more bonus levels as well. You can choose to play in 4 different types of battles and ride in six different types of pirate ships.
There will also be random battle events where monstrous monsters will suddenly spring up and you have a few seconds to defeat them. And to make it more fun, you can invite your Facebook friends to either become part of your crew or actually become your enemy. If they do become your enemies, it will be “friendship on hold” as you can steal their gold and defeat their crew.
You can download Pirate Battles: Corsairs Bay for free from the Google Play Store. There are in-app purchases that will enable you to unlock some powers, but you can still play the game without buying anything.
