What would happen if the toys in your room suddenly came to life? If they’re anything like Woody and Buzz, you already know the answer to that. But if you happen to have a collection of battle hardened, heavy armored, and weaponized action figures, well, you’ve got a problem on your hands. Almost quite literally. Battle of Toys is exactly what its name says: a fight to the finish in miniature doses.
You have to admit, as far as brawler games go, the premise of the game is quite interesting. No need for superhero plots or fantasy quests. These toys are just that. Toys with attitude and plenty of fire power. And since they’re toys, collecting them makes perfect sense. Power ups and upgrades? Who hasn’t forgotten toys of old that you can swap out with new parts?
Beyond that, however, Battle of Toys is pretty much your run of the mill brawler game, delivered in highly detailed 3D graphics. You don’t have to break your screen to get your thing done. The game’s combos are more timing-based than just outright mashing. As expected, you’ll get lots of power ups and customization options for your toys, each of which already comes with its own unique abilities.
