Japanese gaming outfit Bandai Namco is set to release the US market version of the popular action RPG they launched in Japan in 2014 called “Tales of LINK”. And no, before you get too excited, this has nothing to do with that Nintendo franchise with a character of the same name. Tales of LINK is part of Bandai Namco’s “Tales of” RPG series, and now it will be getting a US release.
Tales of LINK is an action RPG, so expect to do grinding and battling to level your character up, follow the storyline, and get awesome items. Bandai Namco is promising a “speedy strategic battle system”, so we’re interested to know if they did something new with the battle systems we’ve all known from hundreds of other RPGs we’ve played.
According to the game description, players will be asked to choose 9 characters as a party, and to choose from these which characters will enter battles. The “touch-link battle system” links the characters and gives them the ability to perform combos. That should be interesting.
The pre-registration for the US market is done at PreLaunch.Me, and the developers are promising a free 5-star hero if you complete the pre-registration. So head on over to the pre-registration page if you want to get that freebie. The game is scheduled to launch in April 2016 for the US market.
