If you’ve been dying to get the Katamari Damacy PlayStation game on your Android phone, you’d be pleased to know that Bandai Namco is bringing it to the platform. It’s not exactly the same Katamari adventure but a totally new one: Tap My Katamari. This one is also reminiscent of the PS Vita game called ‘Touch My Katamari’ released a few years ago.
The game is still under development but a trailer is now out on YouTube but not much information has been revealed. We’re not sure about the gameplay but of course, expect a lot of tapping on the screen as suggested by the title.
It’s interesting to know how the developers changed the analog control to touch but it should be easy. From the video, we can gather that instead of a 3D environment, it’s more of 2D game now. It looks like a side-scrolling game where you only need to tap to advance through each level. There seems to be a lot of scrolling and rolling as well. There’s some mention of a ‘Time Attack Challenge’ too so we’re assuming there will be a number of gameplay modes to be offered.
No word exactly when the new ‘Tap My Katamari’ game will be available on Android but it will arrive in the first half of 2016.
