You probably don’t have Android Auto in your car (unless you’re one of the lucky few) but you probably wish you had it right? Especially when you’re busy driving but you need access to important information yes? Well the Automate app, which has been in beta for quite some time now, is already out as a full blown app, and it can be your Android Auto alternative for now. Or you might just prefer to use this app altogether if you like its features better.
Automate Version 1.0 is now available for your driving needs and it has managed to squash some bugs and problems from the beta version. The app gives you some basic functions like giving you maps, in conjunction with your favorite navigation app (Waze, Google Maps, etc) and you can even search for important places nearby like gas stations, restaurants, important landmarks, etc. It can also assist you in calls, messages, weather updates, speed limit alerts, and other tasks and information you might need all while you’re driving.
You can use voice commands for your navigation, music playback, launching of needed apps, etc. And it even keeps all your favorite apps and shortcuts within easy reach. If you make an in-app purchase for the premium version, then you can set it as a launch while it’s running, and even use hands-free gestures so it can perform different actions and functions.
You can download Automate – Car Dashboard from the Google Play Store for free. The premium version costs $3.17. The official version also has some minor new features, as well as the aforementioned bug squishing.
