Galaxy 5 is available today to Australians through carrier Telstra Prepaid, costing a very reasonable $199. This will make it the second-cheapest Android device in the entirety of Australia, the first place trophy being taken by the low-end Huawei U8300 for $149. The statistics on these two machines are very similar, but its pretty obvious to me which one you’re going to choose just based on the sensual lines of the Galaxy. No brainer.
This Galaxy 5 will be released with a 600MHz CPU, 2.8″ QVGA Capacitive Display, and Android 2.1. It’ll run HSDPA 7.2Mbps, 850/2100MHz 3G, have a 2GB MicroSD, A-GPS, WiFi b/g w/ DLNA, and Bluetooth 2.1. Additionally, it’s got a tiny 2MP Camera, runs TouchWiz UI, and has the capability of running FM Radio. Run right out there and buy one with your two big bills.

The Samsung
Galaxy five smart phone is one serious piece of hardware and is a
fantastic phone for those that want something inexpensive and easy to use. It
won’t play Angry birds like the iPhone but it is the best phone I have ever
used. If there was a better phone in this world, I would use it.
