The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, together with its smaller 8.4-inch sibling, was made ready for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow back in August. That was after we learned the first-gen Samsung Galaxy Tab S was still getting a taste of Marshmallow. Later on, we learned that Marshmallow will no longer come to the Galaxy Tab S.
Official CyanogenMod support did arrive last year. As for AT&T, the mobile carrier has just released an update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (T807A). This release is available via Firmware Over The Air (FOTA). You only need WiFi connection to download the files.
This particular software update brings Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Android device security updates, and AT&T’s very own NumberSync service. This means you can soon make calls from the tablet by using your existing mobile number from AT&T. You don’t have to get another SIM or keep another line because NumberSync lets you use your own number on different devices.
To get the update, proceed to your tablet’s Settings> General tab, About device> Software update> Check for updates. Download and install by following the message prompts.
