Good news, AT&T customers, because the company has launched 4G LTE in four new markets. AT&T has been hitting the 4G LTE scene hard, launching in markets at an incredibly fast rate. We’ve been hearing a lot from it here at the end of the year, and we would wager that we’ll hear more about the company’s 4G LTE roll out by the time 2013 comes around.
Those living in Grand Rapids, Michigan; Nashua, New Hampshire; Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania; or Auburn, Alabama should be on AT&T’s 4G LTE network from today, so hop on and see if you can’t take advantage of faster data speeds. This is just the latest in a long, long line of announcements for AT&T as it relates to 4G LTE, with the company revealing new roll outs seemingly every week.
AT&T also took the opportunity to share a list of markets where it has 4G LTE service available. The list is certainly getting filled out, but there are plenty more key markets to hit, as some states only show one area where 4G LTE is available, while other states aren’t listed at all. Have a look at the list below.
So, AT&T’s nationwide roll out continues, with the carrier second only to Verizon in terms of coverage. AT&T now has 4G LTE in 113 markets, saying that its network covers 160 million people. That’s a little more than halfway to its end-of-2014 goal of covering 300 million, so we’ll see how this massive roll out goes as time marches on. Stay tuned.
