It’s GALAXY S 4 time in the USA. Today marks the first day users can walk into a retail store and head home with the impressive new flagship 5-inch full HD smartphone from Samsung Mobile and AT&T. Their GALAXY S 4 went up for pre-order earlier this month, and started shipping a few days ago to those who’ve ordered. However, now it is in stores and available as we speak.

The next few days will be all about Samsung and their new S4 smartphone. With AT&T having the device in stores today, it will probably start selling out soon so you’d better run into the nearest retail location soon. Then T-Mobile delayed their in-store date to Monday, due to delay issues, and the Now Network has theirs available online this afternoon as well.

I’m sure you all know plenty already but just in case here’s the full spec sheet. The GALAXY S 4 comes with a 5-inch full 1080p HD AMOLED display, which is gorgeous in every sense of the word. Under the hood is plenty of power with a 1.9 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, AT&T (and others 4G LTE) speeds, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and even an IR-baster to use the phone as a remote control. Yeah, it’s stacked!

So, are you going to run down to your nearest AT&T or T-Mobile store over the coming days and grab one? Or does the HTC One appeal more to your needs. For more details check out our detailed GALAXY S 4 Review. Then take a peek at our GS 4 vs HTC One report. Enjoy the rest of your weekend folks!

  1. I live in Arizona and AT&T’s computer system has been down all day and you haven’t been able to purchase any phones from any location (I have called them all). What a horrendous rollout. Though it is AT&T so it is par for the course.

  2. I live in Los Angeles. Went to the AT&T store at 10am yesterday to get the S4 and they said their system was down. Called all the other stores including Best Buy, even tried ordering online to no avail. System is still down as of 7am this morning. Ridiculous.

  3. I got my AT&T variant on 4/27and loving it. Besides faster processors, where do OEM’s go from here? Really? I imagine aside from higher quality builds and improved components, devices cannot get much better than this. We’ve read about flexible screens but I have not given that too much thought. At least for phones, what are the benefits? I look for software to become an even bigger focus for integration with other devices now that hardware is reaching a peak, in my opinion. One thing that can always use improvement is battery tech.
