Archos is always quick to make a follow-up to not-so-old models. We only saw the 50d Helium 4G phone last month and now, the company has launched the 50e Helium smartphone. The new Archos phone comes equipped with a 5-inch HD IPS screen with wide viewing angles, 1.1GHz Qualcomm Quad-Core processor, and 4G/LTE connectivity. Device already runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Other specs of the Archos 50e Helium smartphone include an Adreno 304 GPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB built-in storage, microSD card slot for expansion, 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 2 megapixel front-facing cam, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, and a 2100 mAh battery. Unit will be available sometime in November with a £99 ($155) price tag.

Archos has also introduced the Diamond S. It’s another affordable smartphone from the French brand that already boasts of 4G/LTE connectivity and premium specs. For only £159.99 ($250), the Diamond S already impresses with its 5-inch Super AMOLED Gorilla Glass 3 screen, glass-finish design, Octa-Core processor, 16GB built-in storage, 2GB RAM, 16MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, dual SIM support, microSD card slot, and a 2300mAh battery.

Phone features a fast charging technology and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box when it’s released on November. The features and specs may be high-end and can very well compete with other premium phones available in the market today but the Archos Diamond S is only considered a mid-range Android device.
