App launchers on Android are quickly becoming more popular and a number of similar apps are being released. We recently updated the Aviate app by adding search and here’s another one: the App Swap. This productivity app developed by Emmanuel Boudrant, is a simple app that acts as a drawer containing your most favorite and frequently used applications. Apps on the drawer can now be found more easily and quickly. No need to swipe several pages of your apps when you can simply swap up from your navigation bar or home screen to show the App Swap launcher. You can also swipe from the bottom edge of your phone or tablet even without the navigation bar.
App Swap joins a slew of other launchers like Google Now, Yahoo Aviate, Nova, Action Launcher, and Everything Me among others. This app drawer replacement brings more customization to the Android user interface. No need to modify or root the phone because App Swap can replace the default home screen or Google Now gesture.
With the Quick Swipe, you can swipe left or right from the app drawer to view and go to the apps immediately. It’s a faster way to reach apps especially those that you always use. App is free for download but you can also get an upgrade for only $1.99 to make use of the other App Swap features.
The developer also introduced the Mini Mode, support for icon pack, some more performance improvements even when notification is ON, shortcut on launcher, and the tap and hold to hide function when user is in arrange mode.
