Rumors of a Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has been floating around since this year started, saying the variant will be released in the Chinese market and reports that a model has been shipped to India for testing. There still is no confirmation however but what we’re seeing now is the AnTuTu benchmark that shows more specifications of the rumored upcoming smartphone, supporting what we’ve learned from the GFXBench details that were also leaked recently.
According to the AnTuTu benchmarks that have been seen, the Galaxy A9 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and an Adreno 510 graphics processor. The 6-inch display will have a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution display. It will also have 4GB RAM and a 32GB internal storage which can be expanded through a microSD slot. It will also have a 16MP main camera (no news yet on the front-facing one) and also a 4,000mAh battery.
Oh, and it will also come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, as per the GFXBench leak. Previous rumors suggested that the Galaxy A9 Pro would run on a Windows 10 platform, but now that has been disproved and also given the recent criticisms of that platform, it would be highly unlikely for Samsung to adapt it at this stage.
There is still no confirmation when the Galaxy A9 Pro will be released, but it will probably be after the recently announced Galaxy S7 and S7 edge have been officially released in the market. These will be probably be the first Marshmallow devices that the OEM will put out in the market.
