The Android Marshmallow Quick Start Guide is now available on the Google Play Store for free, and even if you don’t have it yet on your device, you can start preparing and getting excited.
Not that there’s anything you really need to get super excited about, unlike when Lollipop first arrived on our devices and basically overhauled how Android phones functioned and looked like. This time around, the changes are more subtle, but some are still interesting. One new feature of note is Now On Tap, which is like Google Now on steroids. The idea of Now on Tap is that whatever app you’re using, Android can give you context-specific content. Instead of going out of the app to google info about the place, you can just long press it and the address, reviews, etc will show up within the app. Once you’ve set a date, it should suggest that you add the date and place to your calendar. Just like Google Now, Now on Tap studies how you use your device to be able to get that context.
